You asked for it- you got it!

An abbreviated version of this class was taught in the fall where students wrote the morning pages and went on artist dates. The feedback from students was that it was great -  but that they wanted to also read and work through the exercises in the book.

5 classes spread out over 6 weeks

May 9, May 16, May 30, June 6, June 13 (no class May 23)

In this class we will:

-        observe the obstacles that get in the way of our creative work

-        learn how to deflate the inner critic and flesh out creative ideas in The Morning Pages.

-        Take time to fill your well by having some fun on a weekly Artist Date.

This is the book that prompted Elizabeth Gilbert to sign up for Italian lessons which led to Eat Pray Love. Alicia Keys and Pete Townshend also credit the book for the assistance it gave to their music. It is a powerful book that I have worked through numerous times, and I am confident it will resonate with you as well.

The five 75-minute classes will consist of weekly check-ins so we can hear how everyone is applying the book to tap into their creative selves. There will also be talks, writing exercises and meditations.  Between classes you’ll read and work through the exercises from the book, write the morning pages and take yourself on artist dates.

You’ll receive text-based quotes and reminders to support your practice.

½ hour one-on-one coaching session with Firth in June

Anyone interested in practicing the Art of Creative Living is welcome.  Creativity is broadly defined in this class, while it could mean making, writing, dancing, painting, acting, weaving, photographing; it could also mean gardening, cooking, singing or any way you enjoy expressing yourself– you define creativity for you.

You’ll be surprised at the results of giving your creative self this time and attention.
