Prerequisites: This class is intended for students with a past or current mindfulness practice, or an interest in Eckhart Tolle, or Koru Mindfulness graduates.
This is a class you can take again and again. You’ll be amazed at how many new teachings are in there for you with each reading. It’s easy to forget all the beautiful pointers; practicing together in a group with a teacher will put presence front-in-center in your life again. You’ll notice the benefits.
Course Description:
Letting Go (of Worry, Negativity and Unhappiness)
The four 75-minute classes will consist of readings, video clips, writing exercises and meditations. We’ll have weekly check-ins so we can learn how each of us is applying the readings to what is happening in our lives. Between classes you’ll read the book, practice the teachings and write reflections, which I will respond to via email. Also, you’ll receive text-based quotes and reminders from me to support your practice.
The focus of the class is to practice being present, moment to moment in as many of our daily activities and interactions as we can remember to be. We’ll observe the tendency of the mind to wander to the past or future and (just like in meditation) we are going to come back again and again to the present moment (via our breath, sound, sight, sensation or whatever anchor works for you).
We are going to get very curious about the patterns of our minds. We are going to come out of our heads, out of ‘the story’ and into the present moment, the now. And, with curiosity, we’ll just notice what happens when we dwell in the present moment.
