This is an evidence-based program designed to give you a set of tools to help manage stress and anxiety.

 

You will learn specific meditation skills that help calm and focus your mind, as well as mindfulness concepts that can help you learn how to worry less and enjoy yourself more.  

  • What does it cost?

    The cost is Sliding Scale $75-120 (plus the cost of the app $3.99)

  • Why do you need it? How does it help?

    This is a solid, evidence-based program developed by two counsellors at Duke University. In the 4-session class you’ll learn specific meditation skills that help calm and focus your mind, as well as mindfulness concepts that can help you learn how to worry less and enjoy yourself more.

  • What happens in a class?

    In each class you will learn approx. 2 different guided meditations and we'll practice each meditation (sitting in a comfortable chair) for about ten minutes.

    We'll discuss your experience of practicing mindfulness and meditation in your daily life.

  • What happens outside of class?

    There is a fantastic app where you can listen to the guided meditations taught in class and correspond with Firth in between classes about your practice.

    The text is accessible, funny, secular and presents mindfulness concepts like how 'to 'respond rather than react'.
